James Goolnik BDS MSc

James Goolnik has been dealing for years with patients who have had their teeth permanently damaged by tooth whitening. He believes that now the general dental council has relaxed the rules and allowed dental hygienist and therapists to carry out whitening treatments there may be more patients harmed. He believes they will need suitable training to safely carry out these procedures and teach their dentist what "an adequate prescription" is. So much so he has set up a company "Smiles by James Goolnik" to specifically training hygienists and therapists.

James Goolnik is the owner and founder of Bow Lane Dental Practice with 6 treatment rooms an on-site dental laboratory and a multi-specialist team of 16 including three dental hygienists. The practice was voted London practice of the year in 2006. He is immediate past president of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He has produced two training for Discus Dental.

He sits on the board of the British Dental Bleaching Society and help train the dental team in tooth whitening and navigating the complicated legislation in the UK.

He recently released the book BRUSH which went straight to number one on Amazon. ALL the profits of the book go to Dentaid to help build a dental clinic in Cambodia.

James has been voted the most influential person in Dentistry in 2011 by his peers.
